'Cancelled'
Sad news, we have just been informed by Fisheries & Wildlife that the ice conditions at the Wabamun pier have diminished drastically, and now virtually non existent. Shown is a picture taken on Monday, February 8th @ noon just off the pier area. As unbelievable as it is, it is now open water just off the pier. (6 weeks ago it was 2' - 6" thick ice) Unfortunately for us, we are now forced to cancel our annual Make-A-Wish event. I would like to thank you all for thinking of attending and joining us for the fun on the family day week-end.
Although, as we never give up, the RUMWAL gang will be out at the Wabamun pier Sunday mid-morning (2-14-10) cooking burgers and dogs for all who show up, you are more than welcome to drop by, enjoy one on us, and enjoy the day outdoors!!! Donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation would be most welcome. Thanks again...
